Another innovative project from Simple Shelter’s case files:
Following the severe tsunami which hit Samoa in 2009, Simple Shelter was contacted by a Samoan government agency.
An existing shelter structure covering a slipway had suffered damage during the tsunami when a barge broke free of its moorings and collided with one end of the structure. The resulting damage released the roof cover and badly damaged it.
Simple Shelter’s installation team supplied and fitted a new roof to the structure at short notice and in a challenging environment, with damage and debris from the tsunami all around and materials and equipment in short supply locally.
Proactive and quick repairs meant that the slipway was made operational in a short timeframe and could be used for vital rebuild work.
